We here at Shrunk Collectibles may have just found one of the best Bruce Lee bobbleheads that you could easily add to your collection.
We’re more than happy that we’ll get to share it with you.
Because when it comes to action figure bobble head collectibles, it’s not enough that you just get a—well—bobbling head attached to whatever random character done shoddily.

“Bruce Lee Flying Kick Bobblehead”
Our Rating: 4.5
As such, we took it upon ourselves to search for the perfect memorabilia based on the legendary Fists of Fury star.
That’s how we came up with this: the Bruce Lee computer sitter from Royal Bobbles.
And believe us, finding the best Bruce Lee bobbleheads (or collectibles, for that matter) was no easy task.
From Funko Pop figures to key chain releases and all other product types based on the martial arts icon, the selection was vast to say the least.
But without further ado, here we have one of the finest Bruce Lee bobbleheads that you could have in your collection right now!
A Royal Way to Go
Right off the bat, you’re going to notice that Royal Bobbles chose an entirely different route when it comes to this Bruce Lee computer sitter.
In fact, you might not be completely mistaken to say that they’ve taken cues from competitors that also do Bruce Lee bobbleheads, like Funko’s Wobblers bobblehead line.
And it’s kind of a surprise, considering this company sells products based on various characters allowed from their numerous license deals.
The company is nearly synonymous as one of the founding fathers of the whole bobbling head industry.
Not the Usual
That is to say, we here at Shrunk Collectibles thought they’d stick to the usual Royal Bobbles formula.
And that means that the package would have been a windowless four-color box.
It shows various prototype photos of this Bruce Lee bobble head doll and other related products they sell (like some SF Giants bobbles or whatnot).
In this case, though, the company went the entire opposite route.
Action Packed Packaging
Whereas their four-color boxes scream “prestige”, Bruce Lee bobbleheads like this one has a more casual appeal to it.
And that’s because the company opted to go with a clamshell packaging combo: something that won’t feel amiss in the middle of a toy store’s rack.
Perhaps that’s the whole vibe the company is going for.
One that’s going to appeal to even the most uninitiated buyers out there when these items come in stock at the local comic or toy shop.
This Bruce Lee computer sitter, given the clamshell packaging, is of course easily visible right from the get-go.
You could see the character from nearly all angles to check what you’re actually getting once you’re done adding to cart and have finished the checkout process.
Bif Bang Pow!
Aside from a couple of deviations from the usual RB releases, you’re pretty much getting the same type of quality with Bruce Lee bobbleheads like this one.
As far as the packaging goes, we’re not entirely for or against it.
On the one hand, it’s nice that you get to look at the actual toy that you purchased.
You know, the ones who don’t prefer to watch their Bruce Lee bobblehead bobble away and collect dust on their desks.
On the other hand, it does lose that more deluxe feel to it, but it’s all good; function over form and all that!
Mark of the Dragon
Regardless of whether you like the usual 4-color RB boxes or not, the company was still able to provide nice visuals with the overall packaging.
It has a cardstock base, which means you could easily display this Bruce Lee computer sitter in its clamshell without the need to hang it on wall pegs.
The same cardstock doubles as a base, where you could see the martial artist’s name front and center.
Black and Yellow Backdrop
Despite the relative simplicity of the packaging, you’re going to appreciate the black and yellow backdrop set in a ray pattern.
It fits perfectly well with Bruce Lee bobbleheads like this one.
It’s reminiscent of his iconic black and yellow jumpsuit, so that’s a nice touch that Royal Bobbles did.
Of course, the most important part of the package is its contents, and this one does not disappoint.
Everything You Need
The first thing you’ll notice with Bruce Lee bobbleheads is that it doesn’t make use of the same materials as the usual RB limited edition releases.
Those use resin, which is one of the highest quality materials used in collectibles today.
In this case, the entire head to toe custom bobblehead material the company used is PVC.
Now, honestly, we’re not entirely sold on the idea of using PVC for these types of collectibles, much less when it’s one by Royal Bobbles.
However, we completely understand the decision behind it.
Fists of Fury or Disappointment?
Keep in mind that Bruce Lee bobbleheads like this particular release aren’t the same as regular action figure bobble head toys.
The ones you could find like, say, a San Francicsco Giants bobblehead from FOCO or Technology Co. Ltd.
This is a Bruce Lee computer sitter, first and foremost.
That means that it was made specifically to be displayed on top of your desktop computer monitor, your TV, or even your car’s dashboard.
No Resin, Thankfully!
Had RB opted to use resin here, then that might prove to be a problem.
That’s because the adhesive at the bottom may not be able to hold the figure in place.
In turn, it could fall over and smash your screen up the same way Bruce smashes fools with his one-inch punch.
Then, there’s the cost of producing a PVC Bruce Lee bobble head doll like this.
A Good Decision
Going the PVC route keeps costs down for both the collector and the company themselves.
PVC is obviously more affordable than resin.
That means RB is able to nearly cut the usual prices from their regular limited edition bobbling head releases by almost half.
Affordable Bruce Lee
That’s, of course, one way of saying that this is one of the more affordable Bruce Lee bobbleheads you could get your hands on.
It is always a plus for fans and collectors’ wallets.
We here at Shrunk Collectibles always love when a company sells products that reach as wide a demographic as possible, and this is one of those instances.
Aside from the material, the only other difference you’re going to find with this Bruce Lee computer sitter compared to regular RB related products is the size.
A Pocket Rocket
RB usually does their bobbleheads’ custom mold to be within the 8 to 10-inch range.
However, you’re going to find that this particular release is just a tad smaller.
Yes, the pose plays a part in that, as you’re going to see Bruce Lee in mid-air doing a flying kick here.
It stands at about 3.5 inches tall from top to bottom (about 4 inches if you take its adhesive base stand into account).
Lengthwise, he’s about 6 inches, which is an all in all decent size for a Bruce Lee bobble head doll.
Smaller than Usual
All things considered, this has a smaller scalecompared to the regular RB bobbling head releases.
We are talking about everything from the length, height and all the way to its overall anatomical proportions.
And again, you could say that this is both to keep things more affordable and, of course, displayable as a bona findeBruce Lee computer sitter.
That’s where the differences end, though, as everything else here is what you’d find on regular RB custom Bruce Lee bobbleheads.
You won’t be surprised to find out that the sculpt on this thing is phenomenal; that’s the RB way of doing things, after all.
We especially love how RB doesn’t just recycle their molds and instead dedicates head-to-toe custom bobblehead sculpts for all their releases.
In the case of Bruce here, you’re getting a body sculpt that pretty much has the real-life actor’s proportions: that muscular, thin build perfect for martial arts.
Almost Realistic Depiction
It’s especially notable to look at how RB, as always, goes for a more or less realistic depiction.
As opposed to a heavily caricaturized one, such as Funko’s Wobblers bobblehead line.
Of course, it’s not totally realistic, as you still have to take the bobbling head—which means it’s oversized—into account.
The result, though, is a nicely detailed and visually appealing Bruce Lee bobble head doll that you could display right out the box.
A Real Punch!
You could hear that “bif bang pow” sound you usually hear from kung fu movies with this particular toy.
Especially as RB made use of a dynamic pose instead of having a stiff, boring one.
We personally love how Bruce Lee is mid-flying kick and not just standing on a base with his arms to his sides.
The sculpt on his pants are amazing as well, with sculpted folds and crumples that add another degree of realism to the overall figure.
Amazing Head Sculpt
And then, there’s the head sculpt: it’s truly one of the most screen-accurate renditions of a character or celebrity that we’ve seen in bobbling head form.
So, you could just stick this bad boy on top of your computer screen and watch this Bruce Lee bobblehead bobble away!
But keep in mind: adhesive stands eventually lose their stickiness, but it’ll take years before that happens.
Mastery that Flows
The paint job on this figure is on point, too; something that, again, is expected of RB but one we actually didn’t look forward to seeing.
It’s THAT good in spite of the fact that this is a PVC figure.
Certain issues like paint peels and flat colors caused by the poor compatibility of the paint with the PVC material are to be expected for releases like this.
Thankfully, RB was still able to knock it out of the park, as it doesn’t have any of those troublesome issues.
Admittedly, though, there’s just one minor problem we have when it comes to the paint apps on this: Bruce’s eyebrows.
For some reason, they decided to go with glossy paint here.
It has the same shine as the figure’s eyes when it should have been the same matte tone as his hair.
It’s no deal breaker or anything, though; just a nitpick that would otherwise have made this a pretty much perfect action figure bobble head collectible.
It’s no question that Bruce Lee has become an almost mythic figure in the world of both martial arts and media.
Bruce Lee stands as a timeless icon.
He is considered as one of the most important figureheads in the world of martial arts and a legendary celebrity well after his untimely demise at 32.
Born in November 27, 1940, Bruce Lee rose to stardom in films like Way of the Dragon and Fist of Fury.
Initially trained in the martial art Wing Chun, Bruce Lee’s influence became all the more important when he came into his own and matured as a martial artist.
Founder of Jeet Kune Do
He was responsible for founding Jeet Kune Do.
It’sa style that mixes various martial arts, such as boxing and the aforementioned wing chun among others.
That style in turn became a martial arts form on its own.
Manufacturer: Royal Bobbles
Royal Bobbles is one of the most prominent companies that sells products in the bobblehead category and other related products.
Their licensed franchises run the gamut of TV, movies, comics, and sports, such as the SF Giants and Miramax.
They are relatively young as a company, only having been founded in 2009.
Nonetheless, they immediately rose to the upper echelons of the collectible industry due to the top-notch quality of their releases.
In addition to their licenses, the company also offers head-to-toe custom bobblehead figurines whose specifications all depend on you, the collector!
They have a wide range of product types to their customization services.
Adding to cart when their items come in stock is an absolute no-brainer when it comes to Royal Bobbles!
Bruce Lee Bobbleheads—The Verdict
Now, there are a lot of Bruce Lee collectibles out there.
It ranges from humble key chain releases to building toys with choking hazard warnings plastered all over them.
However, when it comes to balancing casual quirk with a realistic depiction of whatever character you choose, this Bruce Lee bobble head doll is the perfect pick.
For one, it has some very minor flaws compared to some of even the biggest collectible companies out there.
A sad truth, but one that RB is able to overcome in spades.
For another, everything—from the materials, the sculpt, overall design and paint applications— in this toy is just near-perfectly done.
So, as far as Bruce Lee bobbleheads go, this is easily one of the best choices you could go for!
