Our TOP 5 Black Series Figures
1. Star Wars the Black Series Darth Revan
“A Rare and Expensive Figure”
Our Rating: 4.5
To kick off our list of black series figures, let’s start with a character that would seem unfamiliar.
Especially if you’ve only stuck to films like Return of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith
However, make no mistake: Darth Revan is one of the most popular characters within Star Wars’ nerd circles.
The Popular Darth Revan
Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master or not, is arguably the strongest Jedi knight in the history of the galaxy.
But Darth Revan will sure give him a run for his money.
You see, this character is from a time when the Luke Skywalkers of the world didn’t even exist yet.
Revan is from the Old Republic era of Star Wars.
And he is popular with Star Wars loyalists.
So, it’s only natural that his Star wars the black series figure is an automatic shoo in for any Star wars black series 6 inch checklist.
Darth Who?
We’re not going to lie: this is one of the more expensive Star wars the black series action figure releases available in the market today.
Then again, all star wars black series figures list worth their salt know that the best black series figures out there usually don’t come cheap.
And Darth Revan is absolutely one of the best star wars black series figures out there.
So adding this to your Star wars black series 6 inch list should be a no-brainer.
Then again, it’s your list of black series figures; we wouldn’t want to impose anything on you!
However, if you’re really looking to beef up your Star wars black series 6 inch list, then this is a pretty good place to start.
Is it Good?
Suffice it to say that Darth Revan comes with more than what you get from other Star wars the black series figures.
That is in comparison toMace Windu, Kit Fisto, or the Luke Skywalker Jedi master version released before.
Two Lightsabers
The thing is, the usual Jedi knight action figure almost always only comes with a single lightsaber, but Revan is a whole other thing.
Given that this Jedi knight and Sith Lord draws his powers from both the light and dark side of the force, his lightsaber count reflects that.
What makes Revan one of the Best star wars black series figures out there is the fact that it’s got a couple of lightsabers with the package.
And we’re not talking about something common here, like the Luke Skywalkers of the world.
What we’re saying is, you’re getting a red and purple lightsaber, each with a unique hilt.
Is that it?
And the reason that this figure makes our list of black series figures is the fact that everything in the package seems premium.
From the lightsabers, right down to his overall design, Revan is far and away from the usual Death trooper or Empire strikes back 40th anniversary releases.
Articulation-wise, it’s a pretty decent figure.
You’re getting the same points from something like the Praetorian guard or Sergeant jyn ersoStar wars the black series toys out there.
By that, we mean you get a full range of motion on almost each and every joint in the figure’s body.
Stability Issues
In fact, there’s only one thing holding back this toy from being the #1 entry into all star wars black series figures list.
It is the stability issues coming from its cape.
All in all, this is a very solid albeit pricey action figure to add to your collection.
2. Star Wars the Black Series Sith Trooper
“An Amazing Stormtrooper Figure Version!”
Our Rating: 4.5
Love or hate the Rise of Skywalker, it’s now a part of Star Wars canon just like Return of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith.
There’s also no denying that the Sith Trooper is one of the coolest updates made to the imperial stormtrooper design.
Sure, it’s not as sinister as the Death trooper, but there’s something about that red paint job on their armors that make them all the more imposing.
If you ask us, Supreme Leader Snoke should have let these guys guard starkiller base instead of those run of the mill troopers they had.
And with this Sith trooper release, our list of black series figures just gets even better!
Sith Goodness
All star wars black series figures list should have at least one version of the imperial trooper in some form or another.
And your Star wars black series 6 inch checklist can’t go wrong if you put this Sith Trooper in it.
For one, it’s still relatively affordable compared to other versions of the imperial foot soldiers out there.
For another, this particular version of the imperial lackey looks so badass.
They look like they could go toe to toe against the likes of Kit Fisto or Mace Windu.
We know, we know: they’re from different eras of the franchise, but who says we can’t do it?
Trooper Accessories
What makes this particular version of the stormtooper stand out is its accessories.
Whereas even the Death troopers get the standard M-11 blaster along with their rifles, the Sith Trooper opts to take it a step further.
You’re getting a special M-11 blaster with hits of red paint on it AND an assault blaster rifle with the same color scheme.
That makes this version stand out from the rest and that’s why we’ve included this one in our list of black series figures.
Sure, you could add a standard stormtrooper here, but why not go for one that’s premium at an affordable price?
As for the figure itself, well, it’s a trooper through and through.
Soldier Movements
By that, we mean it has the same type and number of articulation as all other stormtroopers out there, meaning the only problem is the head.
Due to the way trooper helmets are designed, head articulation is a tad limited, but it’s no dealbreaker at all.
Besides, the sculpt and paint job—reminiscent of the praetorian guards’— more than makes up for that tiny flaw there.
So, beef up your Star wars black series 6 inch checklist with this one; we’re definitely sure you’ll enjoy it.
This Sith Trooper just goes to show that not all of the best black series figures out there have to be priced ridiculously.
3. Hasbro Star Wars the Black Series General Grievous Action figure
“A Deluxe Black Series Figure.”
Our Rating: 4.5
Our List of black series figures, like we said, encompasses all eras of the Star Wars franchise.
That clearly shows with our inclusion of none other than General Grievous.
The confederate warrioris the kind of toy that would make any Star wars black series 6 inch list legit.
He has fought the likes of Kit Fisto and Mace Windu in the Clone Wars.
All star wars black series figures list need a proper villain in the mix.
There’s no better way to go than the multiple lightsaber wielding baddie himself.
Not a Jedi Knight or Sith
Nope, this guy is no Jedi knight or a Sith.
He’s just a galactic badass who’d want nothing more than to slice up Captain Rex or Commander bly.
The reason this is one of the best star wars black series figures is because of how deluxe it’s been designed and presented.
Packaging-wise, you’re not getting a cheap-looking card packaging like the 40th anniversary or vintage collection releases.
You’re not even getting the standard Black series box.
A Grievous Figure
Instead, fans and collectors are treated to an oversized BS box that’s almost twice as wide as the usual Luke Skywalkers or Han solo bespinaction figures.
And that’s the thing: Grievous makes our list of black series figures because it checks out all the boxes.
When it comes to lightsaber count, this guy has four—yes, you read that right. 4!— Jedi knight lightsabers that he can wield in each hand.
Adding to that is a blaster and a removable cape, which just makes this figure all the more premium compared to other regular BS releases out there.
Reasonably Priced
The best black series figures tend to be pricey, but this one is still within the reasonable side of things.
Mind you, it’s not priced the same as, say, Supreme Leader Snoke, Sergeant Jyn Erso, or the Luke Skywalker Jedi master single figure releases
It’s larger, which adds a bit to the price of the thing.
Grievous movement
Articulation-wise, there’s a whole lot that this General Grievous figure has to offer.
In fact, we’d even go so far as to say that it has double the articulation points of your standard BS figures out there.
The only flaw we see with this one is the fact that it’s pretty hard to pose with the cape on, stability issues and all.
And, there’s the way it’s designed: Grievous has very thin joints, which could snap if you’re not careful.
Thankfully, ball joints tend to be sturdier than regular swivels, so here’s hoping it doesn’t break on us.
4. Star Wars the Black Series Chewbacca & C-3PO
“Movie Accurate Action Figure Set”
Our Rating: 5
All star wars black series figures list should definitely have everyone’s favorite wookie in there: Chewbacca.
And with this deluxe BS release, your Star wars black series 6 inch checklist is getting an instant gem of a figure.
What makes this one of the best star wars black series figures is how it perfectly pairs with the Han solo bespin release.
And all the other Empire strikes back 40th anniv. Figure releases from the BS line.
Not only that, you’re even getting C-3PO in the mix here—well, MOST of him anyway.
As such, our list of black series figures considers this as one of those sleeper hits that should be added to all star wars black series figures list.
Wookie and Droid
This deluxe BS release comes in a box twice the width of regular BS figures like Captain Rex or Zorii bliss.
And it’s just right, considering that you’re technically getting a couple of figures in this package.
On one hand, you have the lovable—not to mention one of the greatest warriors and smugglers in the galaxy—Chewbacca.
And on the other, you get a dismantled version of C-3PO, which is exactly how those scenes from Bespin played out.
Now, what makes this deluxe release such a great addition to any Star Wars black series 6 inch list is how it gives you options.
C-3PO’s Options
First, you could either display C-3PO as a regular etiquette droid complete with all his extremities.
And it’s amazing, Hasbro even bothered to paint one of Threepio’s legs silver to make it all the more screen accurate.
Then, you also have the option of disassembling the droid and replacing his arms and legs with stumps, as the movie portrayed.
With this disassembled configuration, you could then have Chewie lug him around in the net accessory included in this deluxe package.
And speaking of Chewie, let’s talk about the greatest wookie in the galaxy.
Wookie Woo!
This Chewbacca figure is not unlike all the others that came before it, be it from the 40th anniversary releases or the vintage collection ones.
By that, we mean it has great articulation all around.
And the sculpt is amazing in that it captures the minute details (like the satchel and ammo strap) perfectly.
The Downsides
Our main gripe here is that this pack doesn’t include his trusty bowcaster; it just feels weird to have Chewbacca without that weapon.
Instead, we get a standard blaster pistol, which is true to the scenes from Empire but is no less disappointing.
Additionally, there are stability issues when you try to make Chewbacca carry Threepio using the net.
However, this is a solid addition to any Star wars black series 6 inch list and one you shouldn’t miss out on.
5. Star Wars the Black Series Princess Leia Organa
“A Perfect Princess Leia Figure”
Our Rating: 4.5
There’s no better way to wrap up this list of black series figures than by putting in the greatest Skywalker of them all: Princess Leia.
Keep your Luke Skywalkers, your Mace Winduand your Kit Fisto.
No other character in the Star Wars franchise could match the impact of Leia Organa, and she’s not even a Jedi knight!
Must Have Figure
This figure is an absolute must for your Star wars black series 6 inch checklist.
That’s because it aces every category we’re looking for when it comes to the best black series figures out there.
For one, it’s not an overpriced figure, so getting one for yourself should be a cinch.
For another, it has everything you love about the Black Series line and more.
Royal Figure
Accessories-wise, Princess Leia beats out even the most decked out troopers out there by coming with a couple of blaster accessories, which is not bad for royalty.
Then, there’s her whole suit, which is entirely made out of fabric, with only her boots being molded plastic.
And speaking of molds, the sculpt on this figure is on-point; it’s has great onscreen likeness.
As for the articulation, you’re getting everything ball joints have to offer without the hindrances of poor design, since Leia is a “human” figure.
That means you could pose her any which way you’d like.
All in all, this Princess Leia toy should be in all star wars black series figures list; it’s just THAT good!
List of Black Series Figures: Our Verdict
The franchise has no shortage of great figures out there.
Whether you’re out looking to add to your collection or you’re just starting your journey in the Black Series world.
If they’re not included in this list, it doesn’t mean they’re actually worse; it’s just that they’re not THE best in our humble opinion.
You could be a fan of Commander Bly, Zorii Bliss, Supreme Leader Snoke or Captain Rex.
Even if you’re sticking to the mainstays, there’s something for any collector when it comes to Star Wars.
This list of black series figures is just here to point you in the right direction!
