Our TOP 5 Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop List
“A Cool Classic Character”
Our Rating: 5
There’s no better way to start this Disney Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list than by going with none other than the Pop Disney Jack Skellington figure.
And we here at Shrunk Collectibles are pretty sure you’re going to love how this Funko product just brings back boatloads of nostalgia.
Of course, that’s not to mention how adorably creepy this Pop Disney Jack Skellington figure, too, which perfectly pairs with the Nightmare Before Christmas Sally Pop!
Right from the window display box, you’ll immediately fall in love with how nicely Funko meshes their trademark Funko style with the character’s design.
And the best part? This figure, which stands 3.75 inches tall, could still be added to your collection at SRP!
A Spooky Package
Sadly, we don’t mean that in a good way, since Funko opted to go with their basic—and frankly boring—window display box Pop packaging here.
They didn’t even bother to highlight that this is from the Nightmare Before Christmas franchise and instead just slapped on mostly Disney branding on the box.
Thankfully, the packaging doesn’t reflect its contents in this case.
A Worthy Figure
This Pop Disney Jack Skellington figure is very much worthy of our Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list.
We highly recommend that you pop this baby out of its box.
After you do, you’ll find that this is one of those unusual Pops that’s not too similar with, say, their My Hero Academia line.
And by that, we’re talking about the skeletal protagonist of the movie’s proportions.
Everybody Make a Scene
Unlike most other Pops, such as the Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop Mayor exclusive toy or the Nightmare Before Christmas Zero figure, Jack’s proportions are different.
Particularly, we’re talking about elongated limbs here, which is pretty much screen accurate and absolutely something you’re going to appreciate if you’re a fan of the franchise.
The head, of course, is overblown—a staple if you’re looking at a Pop Funko product.
It also manages to give you a sculpt that’s faithful to the character on screen.
Although if there’s one complaint we might have, it’s that Funko might have made the head sculpt just a tiny bit more rounded.
Still, that’s just a minor nitpick and in no way does it affect the toy’s overall look.
Dashing Through Snow
Unlike the Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Funko Pop exclusive, too, or even the Christmas Mayor with megaphone Funko Pop, you’re getting a pretty uncommon paint scheme here.
You’re going to love how monochromatic this Pop Disney Jack Skellington, with Funko strictly sticking to whites, blacks, andgrays in order to complete the package.
The paint applications here are pretty on point as well, with no sore spots or missed areas.
All in all, don’t let the rather simplistic look of this toy fool you.
This is one toy that’s very much unlike other Nightmare Before Christmas vinyl toys out there, or DC Comics Pops for that matter!
So, yeah, this is one toy that definitely makes our Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list.
“Imperfect but Still Adorable!”
Our Rating: 5
What better way to follow up Jack in this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list than by putting his trusty ethereal friend in here?
We’re talking about the Nightmare Before Christmas Zero toy, and don’t tell the NBC mayor of Halloween Town about this, because he hates dogs!
Seriously, though, you could easily imagine this Nightmare Before Christmas Zero toy beside a Sally seatedPop; it’s just that cute.
Or better yet, pair this one with snowman Jack and let them have ghostly snowball fight of their own!
Seriously, though, this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list entry is one of the cutest Pops we’ve ever seen regardless of which line we’re talking about.
Ghost Red Nose
Right out the window display box, you’ll notice that this Pop toy is a bit shorter than others like the Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Funko Pop exclusive.
At 3.5 inches tall, this miniscule cutie is perfectly to scale with characters like Mummy Boy or the Christmas Mayor Pop.
Although as always, you won’t find it right away, given how plain the packaging here is.
That because Funko opted to slap Disney branding there instead of the franchise’s title.
Higher Than SRP
Additionally, another major gripe we have with this is that you’re going to end up paying a bit more than SRP to get it.
But not as much as something you’d have to pay for a Funko Pop exclusive or something.
If you’re willing to shell out the extra cash and you’re not one of those mint condition box collectors, you will absolutely love this.
Zero to Hero
Right off the bat, you’re going to immediately notice the nose on this Nightmare Before Christmas Zero toy.
And that’s because the overall character design lends itself to Funko’s Pop sensibilities here.
We have a mostly black and white character, save for his red collar and that orange jack o’ lantern nose of his.
One gripe we have with this toy is how the head sculpt overshadows an otherwise visible collar on Zero’s neck.
Additionally, the whole figure looks more likeit’s one of the dogs from 101 Dalmatians than it is from the NBC movie.
However, it’s no deal breaker; this figure is adorable all the way.
Had they made his nose have a light up feature, then this would’ve been better!
Speaking of paint jobs, you won’t find a lot of color here, and we here at Shrunk Collectibles love it.
Like we said, this Nightmare Before Christmas Zero is mostly black and white, which just makes his nose pop all the more.
And the paint apps? They’re very nicely done here, and we’re not just pointing to the black and white parts of this Funko product.
The nose, with its orange and yellow color scheme, has very nice—and precise—paint applications on it.
But like we said, this toy would have been so much better if the red collar wasn’t so obscured by its big Pop head.
Still, this is a top-notch pick for our DisneyNightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list.
“A Fully Realized Sally Figure!”
Our Rating: 5
Sure, the Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Funko Pop exclusive is all well and good, but snowman Jack is nothing without his woman!
But that’s not why this Nightmare Before Christmas Sally figure makes our Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list.
Not at all, because this Nightmare Before Christmas vinyl figure is just as good—if not better—than other Pops from this line.
We can cite examples such as Oogie Boogie with bugs or even the Sally seated Funko Pop exclusive.
The Christmas Mayor Pop would have his head spin once he feasts his eyes on this amazing vinyl toy right here.
So, let’s talk about why this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop entry is well worth it.
No Patchwork Here
This is one complete package, although the window display box itself definitely needs a lot of work.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again:
As great as Pops are, with how adorable and cute they are, Funko has one of the worst packaging designs when it comes to this line.
We mean, come on, how hard is it to replace all the Disney branding with logos and symbols from the NBC movie?
Luckily, though, what this Nightmare Before Christmas Sally toy lacks in packaging, it more than makes up for with the toy itself.
Let’s start by talking about this Nightmare Before Christmas vinyltoy’s sculpt.
Stitched and Ready
All things considered, this Nightmare Before Christmas Sallyisn’t as unique as something like, say, the Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Funko Pop exclusive.
By that, we mean you’re getting a regular sculpt with regular proportions and features on this toy.
It is something akin to their DC Comics or My Hero Academia line.
And that’s not a bad thing.
After all, the Sally character from the NBC movie has very human features, so this is pretty much on point with the likeness.
However, this figure shines when it comes to the little detail work done on throughout the whole thing.
Specifically, we’re talking about the dress and all the “seams” on the character.
Additionally, that basket accessory adds a nice touch to the whole figure; it’s just too bad it’s not removable.
Patchwork Paint Job
The paint job here is amazing, and it’s where all the little details on this figure come from.
You’ll immediately notice that Sally’s face has stitches and seams on her eyes, across her right eye, and on her mouth.
They make for a charming and creepy figure all at the same time.
What’s more impressive, though, is how Funko managed to paint little seams on her forearm and wrists, and do it without any sloppy paint apps to boot!
As for the dress,it’s more or less accurate to the character’s depiction in the movie, not to mention it has a very 1990s vibe to it.
But hey, this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list is all about characters from the 90s, so we guess it’s all par for the course.
“Great Sculpt and Details!”
Our Rating: 5
Now, the next entry for this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list isn’t just one of our favorites here at Shrunk Collectibles from the NBC Pop line.
It’s the favorite of all Pops in general.
We’re talking about none other than the Oogie Boogie with bugs figure.
It’s one of the greatest Nightmare Before Christmas vinyl toys you could add to your collection.
Looking at it not only brings back memories of the NBC movie’s crescendo on our part.
But it also gives us all the right kinds of chills given how amazingly designed and executed this toy is.
Not an Exclusive
But we don’t want you to feel left out, so let’s start at the beginning:
You’re going to instantly love this figure because, first of all, it’s not a Funko Pop exclusive, so it’s not THAT overpriced.
We mean, sure, you might still end up paying just a tad bit over the suggested retail price for Pops.
But that’s just chump change compared to what you’re actually getting here.
This is Halloween
And we mean it: this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list entry perfectly sums up the movie.
This is the point where the creepiness of Halloween and all the chaotic fun of the holiday season combine in the movie.
And now you could get to have it in vinyl figure form.
Forget the Packaging
Forget about the packaging, because you’re getting the usual Pop vinyl fare here.
That includes theDisney branding, plain color blocking, etc. (although the box art for the Oogie Boogie with bugs character here looks amazing).
But what’s inside? Well, it’s simply one of the best sculpts Funko has ever done with their Pops.
That’s true regardless whether it’s from DC Comics or My Hero Academia or any other franchise they have.
So, what makes this toy such a shoo-in for this list?
Run for It!
Mummy Boy and Vampire Teddy better hide, because this ghoulish toy is no joke: it has one of the best sculpts you’ll see in Pop toy.
Specifically speaking, we’re talking about a very nuanced mold here.
It features all the curves and shapes from the little critters that make up the character’s bug body.
That in itself already makes this toy top-notch.
But what makes it the all-time great is the addition of larger worms slithering and squirming their way out and into the toy’s body.
Now, that is NOT something you usually see with Pop toys, since the line is mostly known for stripping down their toys to the barest of essentials.
In this case, though, you’re getting way more than you pay for, even if you pay above the suggested retail price.
Call the Mayor
The Christmas Mayor with megaphone Funko Popdefinitely has his work cut out for him, because this is one toy that demands attention.
When it comes to the paint job, it’s absolutely amazing: you’re getting a scheme made up of mostly grays, bright orange, and purples here.
And it all forms one nice package in this figure.
We especially love how the bright orange hues are used as splatter paint apps on this figure, which definitely saves it from being too flat.
Additionally the grays of the large worm details contrast with the purple body of Oogie Boogie here.
Suffice it to say, this is one Pop figure you should have if you’re a fan of nice toys in general.
“Expensive but Worth It”
Our Rating: 4.5
To wrap up this Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list, we’ll give you something lavish.
And that is none other than this Pop Movie Moment of Jack and Sally on Halloween Town’s hill.
Don’t get it confused, this isn’t an oversized Pop.
You’re still getting the same 3.75” inches tall figures in this case, but with the added diorama piece.
In this case, it’s Jack and Sally recreating that iconic hill scene from the NBC movie.
We have to say, Funko did a great job in capturing that—well— movie moment!
Deluxe All the Way
With the hefty price tag that comes with the Pop Movie Moments line, you could bet that you’re getting your money’s worth here.
Not only are the Pop Jack and Sally nicely posed (with the usual Pop sculpt), but also that diorama piece is very faithful to its basis.
This toy may not be for everyone, but suffice it to say that it’s as grand as things get when it comes to Funko Pop!
And hey, not only is this a display piece, but it also makes for a great custom diorama set.
Just imagine: you could put Mummy Boy or Vampire Teddy in there to make full scene!
Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list—Conclusion
Whether you’re new to the NBC movies or have been a lifelong fan of the franchise, one thing’s for sure.
You’re going to find that these characters, regardless of their merch’s brands, are timeless.
Sure, you could always get those Disney Store, Mystery boxes, or Diamond Select releases for NBC toys.
That’s the beauty of collecting these things: there’s everything for everyone.
This Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop list just proves that, too.
