This post, its photos and table include links to products on other websites. If you purchase something through these links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

It includesStar wars the black series releases to the Vintage collection and even right down to the Empire strikes back 40th anniversary toys.
So, if you’re curious, then just keep on reading because this is the most detailed Star wars 12 inch figures list you’ll ever read!
Given that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of marketable characters in that galaxy far, far away, you might be wondering where we set our eyes on.
Well, to answer that, we went from the prequel trilogy (that includedRevenge of the Sith) to the Imperial era of Return of the Jedi.
We even went right down to the age where Rey: Jedi knight was introduced.
So, you could say we’re focusing on the main series here and not the expanded universe—at least not too much.
You’d be surprised to find out which made our Star wars 12 inch figures list, so without further ado, let’s get right down to it!
Our TOP 5 Star Wars 12 Inch Figures
“A Solid Boba Fett Figure”
Our Rating: 4
First up, we have everyone’s favorite bit player from the Star Wars universe, Boba Fett!
We will not apologize for saying that, since there are more characters with MORE screen time than this Mandalorian clone (Captain rex or Commander bly, anyone?).
Still, that just goes to show how much of an impact the bounty hunter has made in the Star Wars universe.
Seriously though, this one makes our Star wars 12 inch figures list because of how on-point it’s been made.
It’s no surprise, really, considering that this Empire strikes back 40th anniversary action figure release is made by Hasbro.
It’s the same company that gave us Star wars black series.
Hunting that Bounty
When Star wars the black series started out, figures like the Han Solo bespin version or the Luke Skywalker X-wing toy had very mediocre likeness at best.
These days, Hasbro seems to have cracked the code and are coming up with better sculpts for their “human” figures.
Examples include the newer Rey Jedi knight action figure or the Luke Skywalker jedi master one.
The same couldn’t be said for figures that don’t fall in that category, though: Kit Fisto, Praetorian guard, and death trooper just to name a few.
Hasbro has always done justice to these kinds of figures and Boba Fett is no exception.
The sculpt on this Star wars 12 inch figures list-worthy entry is simply amazing.
It captures everything great about its Star wars the black series counterpart on a larger scale.
And don’t get us started on the accessories on this one.
It has a laser rifle, a cape, a utility belt and even a freaking bundle of wookie scalps with it.
Say what you want about your full-size starkiller base replica, but we’re betting money that it doesn’t have a bundle of wookie scalps in it!
Large Clamshell Package
Of course this is a Star wars 12 inch figures list.
So it goes without saying that this is a pretty large figure that comes in a large package.
Specifically, we’re talking about a clamshell packaging in all its Empire strikes back 40th anniversary glory.
And that’s perfect for Vintage collection aficionados and Star wars the black series fans alike!
Articulation-wise, it’s honestly not as poseable as, say, a Star wars black series Royal guard or all those Luke Skywalkers from the line.
However, it’s decent enough that you could get a nice amount of movement on its arms, legs, hips, and head.
And that’s pretty good for a 12 inch figure, especially when you compare it to other Hasbro releases like their Marvel Titan heroes, which are basically stiff.
All in all, Boba Fett is a solid figure with amazing sculpt.
And it’s one that could go toe to toe with other brands out there in the same scale.
“An Old but Solid Figure”
Our Rating: 4
Of course, no Star wars 12 inch figures list would be complete without including the most famous Sith there is: Darth Vader.
Aside from murdering Mace Windu and hunting down Sergeant JynErso and her band of rebels, Darth Vader was also once a Jedi.
One that has an unhealthy dislike for sand.
As such, our Star wars 12 inch figures list includes this amazing action figure.
Because of the fact that it lets you display Vader either as a Sith or a Jedi!
Bunch of Accessories
That means you’re getting a whole bunch of accessories with this figure, not to mention that it comes in a pretty big box.
And it comes as no surprise that this one was released by Hasbro, considering that the company produces the glut of Star Wars toys out there.
Darth Vader Features
So, right out of the gate, you’re getting the main figure, which is Anakin Skywalker.
Make no mistake, this isn’t like your typical Luke Skywalker xwing figure or your Rey Jedi knight version.
This one comes ready for dress-up from the get-go.
Its accessories include the whole damn Darth Vader suit, which consists of the cape, chest armor, tunic, mask, and helmet.
And it even includes an extra post-Mustafar duel (from Revenge of the Sith) head which you could replace the regular one with.
Then, of course, you get a couple of lightsabers: one red and one blue.
Is it Perfect?
As much as we want to say that it is, we’re afraid it’s not.
For one, this was made at a time when capturing likenesses in toys was very hard, and this Darth Vader figure suffers from the same flaw.
For another, the articulation on this thing is pretty lackluster by today’s standards, with only the arms, legs, head, and hips being posable.
Lastly, there’s the price, which is more than what you’d pay for compared to other SW figures out there.
Still, compared to figures like the Star Wars black series Kit Fisto or Zorii Bliss, this is one release that holds up today.
Dark Side Toy
We included this one in our Star Wars 12 inch figures list because of how uncommon it is for toys to have a costume change feature.
Suffice it to say that you’re getting two figures for the price of one here.
But then again, you’re paying for two figures’ worth if you try to add this to your collection, so you’re really not saving any money.
Regardless, this Revenge of the Sith era figure would both look good on the shelf or as a toy you’d rather pose and fidget with.
Now, if only they’d bring back this type of features in Vintage collection and Empire strikes back 40th anniversary releases…
“An Affordable, Decent Yoda Figure”
Our Rating: 4.5
We’ve had a bounty hunter and a Sith in our Star wars 12 inch figures list.
So it’s about time we added someone from the Light side of the force.
No, we’re not talking about Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, or the Luke Skywalker jedi master one; we’re talking about Yoda!
Cute Jedi Master
Now, without delving too much into the fictional history of the characterall we’ll say is he’s the cutest jedi master of all.
Besides, it’s not like there’s a whole lot of background info on this guy.
And with this figure, Hasbro has managed to provide collectors and fans alike with a reasonably priced 12-incher of the character.
Speaking of its size, we’re talking about the scale here and not the figure’s height itself.
Trust the Force
To be clear, Yoda is a 12-inch scale figure, but since the character is naturally short, he’s more around 8 to 9 inches in height.
That means it’d be a perfect fit to pose with something like your Luke Skywalkers from the 12-inch Empire strikes back 40th anniversary line.
Sadly, we don’t think they’ve released a Dagobah version of that yet.
Accessories-wise, you’re getting Yoda’s signature green lightsaber, a cane, and one of those snake-like creatures you see around him in Empire Strikes Back.
And yes, for a relatively low-priced figure, Yoda is a pretty decent addition to any collection out there.
But, keep in mind that since this is a pretty cheap figure more akin to Hasbro’s titan heroes series, expect it to be far from screen accurate.
The Light Flaws
For one, the sculpt on the figure itself is very mediocre, and so is the paint application.
You could easily tell that Hasbro didn’t make the effort of hiding the fact that you’re playing with molded plastic here.
But it’s no deal breaker at all; you could still enjoy this figure.
When it comes to articulation, you’re getting a shoulder swivel, a hip swivel, and a head swivel.
That’s pretty much it: you could move the arms and legs up and down, and the head side to side.
The snake accessory is equally lackluster in terms of sculpt and paint apps.
The Good Side
But it’s not all bad, since you’re not breaking the bank on this figure and it’s the type that you could typically go on sale.
And that’s more than can be said for figures like Commander bly, the Han Solo bespinaction figure, or the Rey jedi knight.
The other releases from the Star wars the black series line.
All in all, this figure has good bang for your buck: it hits the spot perfectly without breaking the ol’ piggy bank.
Plus, and this is pretty major: this is probably the best version of Yoda’s lightsaber we’ve seen from any company or scale.
That alone makes it a worthy addition to our Star wars 12 inch figures list.
“Very Affordable Sith Trooper Toy”
Our Rating: 5
And since we’ve started adding “bang for your buck” options in our Star wars 12 inch figures list, we think it’s best if we leaned into that further.
That’s why we added this Hasbro Sith Trooper figure on our list.
It’s just as good, if not better, than other Star wars the black series releases out there.
Now, there’s something about the lackeys of the dark side, be it the death trooper, praetorian guard, royal guard, or even the mouse droid from starkiller base.
We think it’s the costume that makes them as appealing as more prominent characters like your Luke Skywalkers or someone like Sergeant Jyn Erso.
And the Sith Trooper has that in spades: that crimson red paint job and battle-ready armor just does it for us.
Unlike other figures in the standard Hasbro 12-inch linethis one has a pretty great sculpt and paint job.
The Hasbro 12-inch line includes ones not part of the Vintage collection or Star wars black series line, that is.
For one, the overly shiny red paint all over the figure is pretty much on point to their onscreen counterparts.
Simple but Magnificent Scupt
Secondly, there’s the sculpt, which simply works for this particular character.
We think it’s because troopers such as this don’t require too much detail work on them.
That is why they could look great even without an overabundance of sculpt and paint details.
So, we could say that it’s the overall design of the Sith trooper that this figure makes full advantage of, and boy does it do it wonderfully.
Titan Sith Trooper?
Yes, this is pretty much along the same lines as the Hasbro Marvel Titan Heroes series, which means you get VERY limited articulation in this figure.
There’s a shoulder and hip swivel, so you could move the arms and legs of this sith trooper action figure up or down.
Then, there’s a head swivel for side to side movement on the head; nothing more and nothing less.
Accessories-wise, you’re getting a single assault blaster and nothing more.
Honestly, they could have added a blaster rifle or an M-11 blaster here, but that would probably jack the cost of the figure up.
Dark Side Pricing
Speaking of price, this is one figure that you’ll absolutely get a lot of bang out of your hard-earned bucks.
Sure, it doesn’t have decent articulation, but the sculpt and paint job is worth more than the price of admission in this case.
Not to mention, you’re getting a relatively large figure, considering that this is in the 12-inch scale.
As such, we think that the Hasbro Sith Trooper is a worthy addition to our Star Wars 12 inch figure list!
“Reasonably Priced Han Solo Toy”
Our Rating: 4.5
If there’s one thing we learned making this Star wars 12 inch figures list, it’s that the Corellian smuggler has come a long way.
Han Solo has come a long way.
From the Han Solo bespin figure to all the other Return of the jedi releases, right up to figures based on when he blew up starkiller base.
Bad Movie, Good Figure
Now, the Solo: a Star Wars story may have flopped in cinemas when it was released.
But we have to be fair and say that it didn’t stop Disney’s moneymaking machine from churning out figures based on the movie.
One such figure is this Hasbro 12 inch scale Han Solo, which is based on the younger version of the character.
As such, don’t expect Harrison Ford’s likeness on this; we’re getting the Alden Ehrenreich version of the character.
This one is pretty affordable.
As all Hasbro 12 inch scale figures that don’t belong in their Empire strikes back 40th anniversary line, vintage collection line, or Star wars black series line.
Similarly, you’re also getting the same flaws from a lot of other figures in this line, mainly with the articulation, paint job, sculpt, and accessory count.
But we don’t like dwelling on the negatives here at Shrunk Collectibles, so let’s start with all the positive qualities of this affordable Star Wars toy.
For one, there is, of course, the price.
For a 12-inch figure, this young Solo figure comes at a relatively low price point perfect for when you want to add something to your collection.
For another, the sculpt and paint job on this figure from the neck down is pretty great.
Bad, bad man!
Now, when it comes to its flaws, they mainly come from the head sculpt.
The likeness here is non-existent.
The face paint job is too shiny to pass off as a skin tone similar to what you see on Star wars the black series figures.
The accessory is just a single pistol blaster and nothing else.
But, all things considered, this is a decent package that goes well with your Han Solo bespin figure.
