Some people are saying that the Walking Dead franchise is—well—DEAD, but our Walking Dead action figures list proves the exact opposite of that!
Honestly, at first we just thought about making another run of the mill Walking Dead Funko POP list, but that won’t do this media juggernaut any justice.
This post, its photos and table include links to products on other websites. If you purchase something through these links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
We Covered Everything
With our Walking Dead action figures list, we scoured every nook and cranny.
We covered everything from the Walking Dead action figure price guide to the whole Mcfarlane Toys The Walking Dead TV series toy catalogue.
And we did this all for you, walker fan: you deserve the best when it comes to having the definitive Walking Dead action figure list.
So, set up that spiked trap and hop on to Dales rv because we’re going to cover everything, from Paul Jesus Monroe to Beth Greene.
We’ll even cover that poor bicycle girl zombie from the first ever episode!
Much like Star Wars, the Walking Dead franchise has a whole treasure trove of collectibles, so it’s not all about the main characters of the series.
In fact, you could even say that no two walkers are alike.
Awater walker is different from a mud walker, and both are worlds apart from something like an Rv zombie.
As such, this Walking Dead action figures list contains everyone—and we mean everyone— from characters like Bob Stookey to the Rick Grimes deluxe action figure.
There Could be Surprises
And it’s true that the show has come a long, long way since its debut nearly a decade ago, so we took that into account.
Don’t be surprised if you find that this Walking Dead action figures list has toys from the Woodbury assault arc.
Or when it has toys from when the show introduced us to Michonnes zombie pet.
Our TOP 5 Walking Dead Action Figures
“A Highly Detailed Rick Figure”
Our Rating: 4
Kicking off our Walking Dead action figures list is none other than the show’s (and comics’) main man himself: Rick Grimes.
This Rick Grimes deluxe action figure comes from the 8th series of the Mcfarlane toys Walking Dead TV series line.
Now, there have been other versions from the same manufacturer, but this one is one of the best.
You could easily pose this guy killing a horde of zombie roamers.
And since this is the Rick of latter seasons, it’s far removed from that mild-mannered small town sheriff who shot a bicycle girl zombie!
Going back to the figure itself, it’s packaged in a clamshell, which is the usual fare for Mcfarlane toys Walking Dead TV series figures.
This Rick Grimes deluxe action figure comes with a few accessories as well, three of them to be exact.
First, there’s Rick’s machete, which is perfect for hacking down any water walker or rv zombie around.
Hey, you’d go deaf if you shoot those things from tight spaces.
Then, you get an assault rifle for mowing down hordes of zombie roamers or, you know, defending yourself during the Woodbury assault.
And finally, there’s the character’s signature revolver, which is a great weapon for any bicycle girl zombie or governors daughter alike!
That’s the thing, though: the accessories here are just the beginning of what makes this figure worthy of our Walking Dead action figures list.
It’s Grimey good!
If you check the Walking Dead action figure price guide, you’d notice that this toy has gone up in value since it was first released.
There are good reasons for that.
If there’s one thing the Mcfarlane toys Walking Dead tv series line is good at, it’s sculpt and paint apps, and Rick is no exception.
The actor’s likeness here, based on Andrew Lincoln, is perfect and captures the character impeccably.
The accessories aren’t slouches either, as each of them has great molding to them.
And to wrap it all up, everything in this package has a weathered paint app that just captures the mood of the source material spot-on.
Rick’s the Pick
If there’s one nitpick we have for this, though, it’s the available points of articulation on this Rick Grimes deluxe figure.
Although it has decent articulation all in all, don’t expect it to be as posable as something from the Star Wars Black Series or Marvel Legends line.
After all, Mcfarlane toys isn’t really known for creating overly articulated figures; they’re more of a sculpt and paint type of company.
Summing it up, this one’s a perfect addition to any Hilltop or Sanctuary building set.
Not to mention, you could perfectly display this with other figures from the line like Beth Greene or Paul Jesus Monroe.
“A Small but Amazing Figure!”
Our Rating: 4.5
Of course, no Walking Dead action figures list would be complete without even adding the grumbling badass that is Daryl Dixon.
Hell, even the crappiest Walking Dead Funko POP list you’d find on the internet inevitably includes the Walking Dead’s resident hog ridin’ crossbowman.
And with this release, Mcfarlane has outdone itself.
It’s a Daryl Dixon figure based on the middle seasons of the show, when the character has become the cornerstone of what being a post-apocalyptic badass means.
If you ask us, this is one of the most punk rock TWD figures we’ve ever seen, given how unapologetically rugged it is.
So, it’s a no-brainer for us to include this Daryl Dixon deluxe set in our Walking Dead action figures list.
You Go, Daryl!
We’re far removed from slumming it in Dales rv, as this figure is based on the character’s appearances from season 5 and 6.
Here, you’re getting Daryl himself along with his signature crossbow weapon and an additional knife accessory for good measure.
However, what gives this set deluxe status is the inclusion of Daryl’s newest toy: that post-apocalyptic motorcycle resembling an old Harley Davidson.
Believe us when we say that thisfigure would make any mud walker or water walker instantly just die when they see it.
It’s simply that good: par for the course when it comes to Mcfarlane toys’ offerings.
Roaming the Wasteland
What shines the most in this deluxe set is, of course, Daryl’s motorcycle.
It’s all plastic—yes, even the wheels—but the sculpt done by Mcfarlane Toys here makes the figure look more like old metal and rubber.
That’s no surprise especially when you consider that this is Mcfarlane Toys we’re talking about expect to get top-notch sculpt all over.
That includes everything from the motorcycle right down to the knife.
Amazing Paint Job
And as with most figures from the Walking Dead line, the paint job here is amazingly weathered.
It’s as close as you can get to having a little Daryl Dixon all your own.
Speaking of little, there is something you should know about this figure, though.
First off, this isn’t the same size as something like the Beth Greene, Rick Grimes, or even Bob Stookey figure from Mcfarlane Toys.
Standing at just about 5 inches, this is a smaller scale than usual, so posing it with other TWD figures might look a bit off.
Then, there are the points of articulation, which if you know Mcfarlane Toys, is pretty lackluster.
Sure, you could pose Daryl and the motorcycle, but don’t expect to get any dynamic joints from this set.
However, even if we base it on the Walking Dead action figure price guide, you’re getting a great deal here.
That’s because this figure is still reasonably priced to this day, which is a total A+ in our book.
“An Almost Perfect Negan Toy”
Our Rating: 4.5
The one thing that TWD, both the comics and the TV show, know how to do is villains.
And if there’s one villain that left the most lasting impression on fans of the franchise, it’s none other than Negan.
Sure, that whole governors daughter and Woodbury assault drama were pretty epic at the time.
But the moment they introduced Negan, the competition was crushed—and so was Glenn’s head.
Seriously, though, our Walking Dead action figures list had a hard time deciding whether we should include this.
It’s such a given that it almost seems unfair to include Negan here, yet here we are, and there is absolutely no turning back!
A Dastardly Toy
Of course, it almost goes without saying that this McFarlane toys release is an absolute winner when it comes to sculpt and paint apps.
You’re getting a figure here that has likeness in aces, capturing Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s portrayal of the post-apocalyptic tyrant precisely.
The same could be said for the paint job done on this figure as well, where fans are treated to some really on-point applications of varying tones.
If you ask us, our favorite part here is Negan’s signature jacket, with all that weathered texture to it.
Accessories-wise, you get nothing but LUCILLE; we think nothing more needs to be said!
IF Daryl is punk rock, Negan is totally rockabilly: this figure comes with all the signature details of the character.
From that beard to Lucille to those muddy boots, Mcfarlane Toys sure did an amazing job on this one.
Oh, and the best part is: IT COMES WITH A BASE.
That’s something that automatically makes this a worthy addition to our Walking Dead action figures list.
The points of articulation aren’t too bad either, as you get hip, toe, head, knee, shoulder and arm joints on this one.
The Infamous Lucille
And in addition to the hand swivels on this figure, you’re also getting an extra Lucille-holding bat.
It’s the bat that beat the brains out of one of your favorite protagonists.
Bad Negan, Bad!
However, this is one of the newer Mcfarlane Toys releases, which for some reason isn’t up to scale with their older series.
Negan stands at about 7 inches: a full inch shorter than, say, their Paul Jesus Monroe figure or their previous rv zombie or mud walker releases.
And a tiny little gripe we have with this one is the lack of a torso joint.
Had they added that, this would have been a near perfect action figure based on one of TWD’s greatest villains.
Still, it’s far better than any entry from a Walking Dead Funko POP list you’d find online.
“A Small but Nice Figure”
Our Rating: 4.5
We said it before and we’ll say it again: no two walkers are exactly the same in the Walking Dead universe.
You have your typical zombie roamers, your water walkers, and the tragically apt-for-the-times flu walker.
In this case, though, we chose the riot gear zombie from Mcfarlane toys as an entry in our Walking Dead action figures list.
Fans of the show would recognize these pesky walkers as the ones that makeBob Stookey and Beth Greene run towards dales rv.
Yup, they’re just really hard to kill because of that damn helmet they’re wearing.
Time to Riot
Michonnes zombie pet would have been better if they were wearing this little guy’s riot gear; just think about it!
Seriously, though, this is a great figure especially when you consider that this is in the 5 inch scale.
That being said, don’t expect to display this one alongside a majority of McFarlane Toys Walking Dead TV series figures, as those are usually around 8 inches.
But what got our attention here is how well done the sculpt and paint job on the figure was done.
Particularly talking about that creepy zombie head, Mcfarlane is in top shape with this release.
Not all Good
Aside from its smaller than usual size, this figure comes with just a small accessory and nothing more.
Even worse, the accessory isn’t even for this figure, it’s for Maggie Greene, which is a simple little knife.
However, you do get some articulation on this little figure’s helmet where you could swing the face guard up or down.
And speaking of points of articulation, we were so happy to find out that this one has that rare torso joint: an uncommon feature for Mcfarlane figures.
All in all, if you’re looking to beef up your building set diorama or just looking for that next TWD toy fix, this is best.
“An Underrated Walking Dead Figure”
Our Rating: 4
One of the defining characteristics of the Walking Dead TV show is how it has a rotating cast of characters.
So much so, that even losing its main headliner in Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) wasn’t such a big hit on the show.
After all, there are several other interesting characters in the TWD world that could take up the mantle.
And no, Tyreese wasn’t one of them.
Still, it was great to have this hammer-wielding hunk of a man while it lasted.
It goes without saying that this figure has an amazing likeness, given that it’s from the Mcfarlane Toys The Walking Dead TV series line.
To be exact, Tyreese belongs in series 5 of the figure releases, which was a pretty long time ago.
Still, this figure holds up, and the accessories on this bad boy are really nice.
You get a shotgun, a pistol with a non-removable silencer, and that sweet zombie-killing hammer of his.
The paint job on this figure is also something that Hasbro should aspire to.
With its spot-on application and great weathering effects, this Tyreese figure is a shoo-in for our Walking Dead action figures list.
Tyreese: Zombie Basher
Given that this belongs to the earlier Mcfarlane Toys releases in the TWD line, you’re getting a generous scale here, which is at about 8 inches.
Too bad there’s no base included in this sweet package; it would have been perfect if it did.
Counting the points of articulation, there are 22, which is pretty much the standard for Mcfarlane’s TWD line.
Now, 22 might seem like a lot, but believe us when we say it’s not.
You could pose it in various ways, but not as dynamically as something from, say, the Marvel Legends line.
Walking Dead Action Figures List: Our Final Word
Sure, it may appear that the Walking Dead has gone past its prime, but make no mistake: it’s still got a lot of gas in it.
The show has ten seasons down the line—and more coming, not to mention all those spinoffs and side stories from video games.
The Walking Dead has made its indelible mark on the world.
And considering the quality and amount of collectibles available for this multimedia juggernaut, fans and collectors have no shortage in picking which one they want.
Pick Your Favorite
You may go for human characters like Paul Jesus Monroe or Beth Greene, or you could be more of a mud walker or zombie roamers collector.
There’s something for you in the TWD universe.
With our Walking Dead action figures list, we hope you’re able to narrow down those choices and get to collecting these amazing toys.
